Bass Arrangements
I checked out the 'Songs you should learn 3.0' thread and there's a lot of rock, metal n such. I haven't been in a band for years now and I'm just looking for some nice arrangements I could tackle.
I don't have time to write music, and I'm not too into learning the overly complicated stuff from Hamm or Wooten. If anyone has suggestions on where to find some moderately challenging but nice sounding arrangements, throw em this way! Thanks!

What do you mean by arrangement?
Do you mean a song originally written for a different instrument that has been transcribed for bass? Or do you just want to learn a new song?

Yeah I thought arrangement might be a little vague lol, songs that are JUST bass.
Which is typically music for other instruments transcribed to bass, like what you said.

BassGK does plenty of arrangements:
Can't think of anything easy. I've been tempted by Stuart Clayton's book: http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2010/0...-electric-bass/ because his ultimate slap book is brilliant. But I haven't tried the above. Perhaps easier is this: http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2012/0...ss-arrangement/ Did a bit of it, but never finished it. I don't know how easy you want it to be. It's never going to be trivial on bass. You might try the arranger's channel, too. Take on me isn't a great song, but it seems one of the easier ones. Been meaning to try it. But not gotten round to it. One for CATPM, maybe.

Yeah, go to bass books and get a Bach for bass book. Or, to Aebersold's site and find a play-a-long to your liking. Hours and hours of fun, no matter how many cocktails! As long as your headstock doesn't end up in your speaker cab!

Fair enough. I guess all I meant was I didn't like it. The bass arrangement looks fun, though. I do intend to find the time to play it. Liked the video you gave. Also the Les Claypool version:
