Taking pictures of guitars in nature
So I see a lot of pictures of custom guitars on this forum (specifically GB&C), and they're taken with the guitar laying in the grass or on stones... Why do people do this? I would be worried about the finish, personally.
P.s. I'm not trying to start an argument. I'm asking to find out why. |

It's easier to take nice looking pictures in the sunlight?

Because it looks nice; and because laying it on the grass or a smooth stone doesn't hurt the finish, if you're careful.

Well, it does look good. But still, I can't imagine not scratching it on rocks on getting mud on it. I find scratches everywhere and I don't even know where they come from.

That much is true... I guess if you're careful enough with it you can keep it in good condition. Personally, I think I'm too clumsy to pull it off, but that's just me.

I'd never do it on rocks or anything that could scratch it that much, but I've done it on grass. Looked gewd.
