(Les paul)Do mini-buckers fit inside a humbucker whole?

Hey, nathan here.

Just bought a project guitar off from ebay.
it has yet to arrive(I bought it yestarday).
I have been looking into the pickups I want to install, and since it's gonning to be an inexpensive build, I'm looking at fitting in some Iron Gear Rolling mill 2 pickups.
I've heard them on youtube, they sound great.

I was however wondering how to install them into an LP designed for humbuckers?
The routed whole in the body is wide , and is meant to have a bucker plate attached to it and a bucker attached to the plate -
Could I attach a mini bucker to a normal bucker plate? or do I need a mini bucker plate and refill , reroute, refinish the whole guitar?

Why would you not just get a full-size humbucker? They're not any more expensive than mini buckers.

Mini humbuckers aren't going to sit properly in that route. They might physically fit but they're going to wobble all over the place.

I just prefer the sound of them over full buckers - there less meanier.
I may actually just go for a set of buckers - alot of the time their actually cheaper the mini's.
Still looking around though.

Cool, problem solved. Enjoy! Post a build thread/refurbish thread here if you feel like it.
