I had the VT40+ for a while, thought pretty much the same - a great little amp with some decent effects.

I mainly bought it as a bit of a toy to get some different sounds than I get from my AC4 (the head & cab version), but sold it after a while because most of the time I was just trying to get the AC models on the VT to sound like my main amp!

I was recommended it when I was looking for amps.

I was more impressed with the Peavey Vypyr though despite it not being a tube amp. Also cheaper too.

The VT isn't a tube amp either. It has a single 12AX7 working as a power amp driver. That does not a tube amp make.

I have a VT20+ for home practicing, its a nice little amp and fun to play around with the different amp models and effects.
