Need a Double Bass Pedal

I'm looking for a good double bass pedal. I want the best bang for my buck, and I'm looking to spend about $200. It needs to be fairly fast and reliable, and it will be used on my Vkit.

Thanks for the help guys!

Look for Tama Iron Cobra's, Speed Cobras, Pearl Eliminators and DW 5000 allo second hand (especially on ebay) for your budget.

Just in case (if for some odd reason) they don't have any, what else should I look for? I'm really gonna try and finance the bass drum pedal because I'm also gonna get some other gear, so I'd like to try and go that route if possible.

Honestly, if they don't have them (For whatever odd reason) then you'll have to make drummer friends and try out their gear.
A friend of mine did something extremely long-winded and crazy which was to actually buy one or two pedals at a time off the internet, try them out and then send them back before the return-period ended to exchange them for another set or get a refund. He managed to find his pedals but it was a long process.

Also look on your local listing for people selling double pedals and ask if you can try them out.

iron cobras are standard.

but also consider that you dont necessarily NEED a double kick pedal.
incredible speed can be produced from a single kick with good technique and its far more impressive when people ask "what double pedal do you use" to say "oh, i just use a single" if you can.

I think the same as Funkas, but there's a single reason why I want to (eventually) get a double pedal: rhythm. It's not a matter of speed, but a matter of using my left foot as a second bass drum, unlocking rhythms that are not available (for me, obviously) previously.

Speed is not a problem for me =/
