Normally Don't Do Things Like This..
But I guess Wikipedia is having financial issues, and are asking for donations (just go on any Wikipedia page, and read the banner at the top). I like Wikipedia, and love that it's ad free and what it can and does teach me and a lot of other people. It's a great website. It's really the only time I've ever actually donated to a website without getting anything in return. I only had $5 in my paypal, but I gave it. Worth it, imo.

I'd be fine if Wikipedia used advertising. As long as it wasn't obnoxious advertising like UG uses.

They do this every year. Just use ads for god sake, it's a lot less annoying than an appeal every year. No-one pays any attention to them anyway.

Regardless of the sources, universities have reason enough to not let students use the internet except for searching for subject books written by the people working at a university...
