Doors

I'm ba-aack. You know the drill. You can hear this at: https://soundcloud.com/brett-rae-1/doors

Every little compartment of our lives has a door, and the closet is the worst.
Thousands of people hiding in the closet, thousands of people trapped inside the closet.
Some of them bang on the door, but outside the door there is a chair,
And sitting on the chair is the weight of millions keeping them in.
How can one man fight against the millions?
Well he can’t, but bodies can.
You see, the creator created everybody with a body.
But what do we do when the creator created the wrong body?
There must be hundreds of people hiding in the wrong body, trapped inside the wrong body.
Do we close the door and sit in the chair
trying too hard to pretend that they’re not there?
Or do we say “come out! Come out wherever you are!”
Come out! Come out whoever you are!
It doesn’t matter if your penis can impregnate a woman
Or if your breasts lie flat as a piece of paper against your beautiful chest!
It doesn’t matter if your face is as soft as a baby’s butt when all you dream of is the 3-day scruff.
Come out.
Never mind that you’re wearing baggy clothes to cover the scars and reminders of your past life.
Never mind that you have no curvy hips for those hip huggers to hug.
Never mind that they say the muscle makes the man or that a woman is only a woman if she passes the test of a 1-10.
Never mind what they say.
Never mind who they claim you are; because they don’t know your heart.
Come out. Come out wherever you are, come out whoever you are, come out.

Brett ! Loved to read something from you again. Glad you're back. In the beginning, the repetition wasn't working for me, but once I got with the flow of this piece, it actually suits it very well. In the end, the only part I didn't like was "because they don’t know your heart.". I think "Never mind who they claim you are" works better alone, but that's my opinion. Will you post more often now ? Is everything okay with school and stuff ? PM if you need anything ^^

That was the line I was iffy about too. I felt like I was forcing it. I'm working on a new piece of prose right now, so hopefully that means I'm out of my writers block, in which case, hell yeah I'll be posting again. School is going well, but still busy. Glad this semester's coming to an end! Is there a particular piece you want me to check out? I've been trying to catch up, haha.

I hope you'll get out of that writer's block too I don't know, you can read anything you like ( I always love opinions ) but if I have to choose one, check out the last on my sig, since it's the newest. I shall await for that prose ^^
