What is a resonable price to pay for a first acoustic guitar?
I was thinking around 200-300?
I need to get all the accessories, capo, tuner, strings, gig bag, etc. Also, could you list me some good guitars for around that price range? |

Go to the acoustic forum but I would definitely recommend Yamaha. I have one of their acoustics bought used (I think it's the LS6 or LJ6 model) which is on the higher end of your price range, and it's lovely. Ebony fretboard and rosewood back and sides really can't be beat for that money. Sounds really good, very playable, not too thin or thick of a neck, and they come with pretty decent strings.

For my first acoustic I bought the entry range (DR-100) Epiphone for $150 AUD. I love it.
Also, regardless of the price, you should always play it before you buy it, to make sure it sounds and feels right |

yamaha, alvarez, takamine. usually in that order. if you want a cutaway, you might want to see if washburn has one you like. most of the time, yamaha. like said, try it first if possible. it's much harder to tweak an acoustic setup. and look used. so many times in my area, i see beginner acoustic packages, like you're looking for, going for half the price, because the owner gave up trying to learn.

I really like the Takemine Jasmines for beginner guitars. They're actually pretty good, and they start at $99 on Musician's Friend. I have one that I really like.
