I would appreciate it if you guys answered this short survey for me. It's about censorship and I need it for a research paper I'm doing. Here it is:

Everything should be censored to a reasonable extent.

I think there should be censorship across the board or not at all. Why can books publish anything but films can't show everything. Why can theatre groups do anything but then video games have boundaries?
I do believe censorship is a good thing. The BBFC in it's current state are a very good example of how censorship should work.

[X] Yes [ ] No when you say restriction I'm thinking not like a legal one but a suggestion so the parents/guardians know if it's appropriate. I think the social element of society should be free.

Easily offended Not really other than school None Eh, young kids shouldn't see sex or strong violence until a certain age. Non-sexual nudity and profanity isn't too bad for them Let the parents decide

There's a place for it but it's more often than not a terrible thing. Why do you think people try to censor others? Nowadays it's usually to shield children from reality but it can also often be to hide the truth/force thoughts Have you been affected by censorship, and if so, how? Yes. Most of the ways don't really matter (bleeping cursing, nudity etc) but there were likely times where the important truth was censored and I didn't even know.
