I guess technically, it should be new gear month or so! I've picked up a few new pieces of gear this past month or so, I figured I'd wait and post a bunch at once!

First up:

Mesa 2x12 Rectifier



I was original intending on buy an 2x12 cab shell, and throwing some vet 30's in it, but this guy came up on Kijiji for cheap, so I couldn't pass it up! It adds so much low end to my sound, its crazy.

Second up:

Eminence Cannabis Rex 12in speakers



I originally pick up a 16 ohm rex for my coupe, but when I got the 8ohm mesa, my Impedance when running all three speakers was mismatched. I ended up taking the 16ohm out of the coupe, then putting it in my vox cab, and I bought an 8ohm for my coupe today. Now the impedance works!

Anyways, I found this speaker made a huge difference in both amps! I took the harsh high end treble away, and added a tight bottom end. I'm super impressed with it in both amps, and would recommend this mod to anyone with either of these amps, or any fenderish amp.

Third up:

TC Electronics Alter Ego Delay





All I can say is wow! I originally bought this because of the PGS demo where they play all the floyd. This pedal sounds amazing, and with all the different delay/tone print settings, you can find almost any delay tone that you may be after. There are so many applications for this pedal, my mind is pounding! It will defiantly be one of my main pedal from here on out. It sounds so natural.

Fourth up:

1985 Fender MIJ Contemporary Strat





I picked this guy up about a month ago. It has a few nicks, and digs, but considering the age, that's expected. This thing has a crazy 70's mojo about it when your playing it. It was very poorly set up when I got it. The bridge was complete messed, and she wouldn't stay in tune, but after a good setup, she plays beautifully. My only complaint is that she is a little noisy. I'm gonna shield it soon.

I was going to do come clips, especially a before and after with the vox speaker swap, but I forgot I leant my headphones to my bro I'm going to get them back later and I'll defiantly post some clips then!

I found that my coupe was getting lost in the mix at practice, so I got the 2x12.

I'm glad I did! The 3x12 setup really cuts through the mix. It makes my guitar sound so much fuller, being the only guitarist in the band.
