NAD Peavey inside
A while ago I got tired of my 6505+ because it's basically a one trick pony in my eyes. It can do heavy stuff, but the cleans are lacking and it just didn't do what I wanted anymore.
I put up my amp on kijiji and got an offer for a Peavey JSX head. I checked it out about a week ago and I came home with it. This thing blows the 6505+ out of the water in terms of versatility. The cleans sounds great, the crunch channel can do anything from light crunch to Marshall overdrive. The Ultra channel can do some really heavy stuff, it can go from Metallica to Slipknot in seconds. I love it. This amp is a few years old. I actually traded it with a member of a band I saw when I saw Shadow Fall in 2009. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for the alck of pictures, I don't have many as I'm playing a concert at school today. I'll add more as the weeks goes on I hope, sounds clips maybe. More extensive review to follow as well

Thanks! I love this thing, best amp I've ever played.
I spent about 15 minutes cleaning everything on it, it looks a LOT better than it did before. When I got it, it was hardly picture worthy.

Thanks guys!
@ihartfood Lemon pledge furniture cleaner does wonders. Sprayed a bit onto a chamoise cloth and BAm, instant clean and shine. The spaces between the chrome and grill were filled with dust. I took all the knobs off and gave them and the spines a wipe with the pledge sprayed on the cloth too. The amount of rust and dirt and disgusting shit on it was crazy. Looks a helluva lot better now though. @robb at least for now yes. The search for the perfect tone is never ending though. But this quenches my thirst for now. And for a long tim coming I would think. Also if you notice on the chrome, theres a reflection of an Iron Maiden flag on one side, and my 3 foot tall Prince poster on the other side, before you wouldn't have been able to notice

Thanks, I can see why people love it.
PS. This is the band the guitarist I bought this amp from belongs to. So heres a song they recorded with it, just as a taste of how heavy it can get, seeing as I don't play anything like this I figure I'll post it to show some contrast in what the amp can do Edit: Here are a few sound clips! All recorded on my Telecaster: Ultra channel - http://soundcloud.com/zacharyk/jsx-ultra-channel http://soundcloud.com/zacharyk/dirty-middle I'll add cleans and more pictures later when I get back home
