I can't remember, but it was surely something by Blink-182. Maybe All the Small Things or Adam's Song?

Try Jato Unit from Jeff Loomis. Remember you have to learn how to play slow in order to play fast. You have to crawl before you learn to run.

Gloria. Or you could just toss your guitar down a flight of steps and it will probably play Gloria all by itself.

Hi Spikerwolf,
As you are interested in playing your first song to finish so I will advice you to select song with lots ho HI and LOW notes. A song where you can find variety of pitch. It will help you in polisiging your vocal skills.

Hotel California with all the tremolo thing. If that does not count, then probably Like a Lover (Earl Klugh). Probably crazy train if that one does not count either. I started out classical guitar so I completed many pieces even before I started with songs.

Well technically the first one I could play all the way through was Iron Man, but I embellished the solo (rather badly I recall).

First song I could actually play along with on the stereo with near note-for-note accuracy: Enter Sandman
