Need help to identify rock stars on a huge poster
Hello,
I hope this is the right forum for this question. During my last vacation in US west coast, I've found this poster with most of the 60's to 80's rock stars. Rock n Roll Theatre poster by Howard Teman There are about 170 people I try to find the names. Currently I have found around 50% of them and I would like to get closer to 100%. I have added a number for each face, but you need to enlarge/zoom the image to see them. 5 sort of looks like Kurt Cobain. He started in the 80s, so he technically fits the category but I wouldn't expect to find him in a 60s-80s list.
(ninja'd...) You've got Simon and Garfunkel the wrong way around, I think. 26 could be Lemmy. 44 might be Tiny Tim, but it's a bit hard to see. (EDIT: 132 looks a bit more like him actually.) 76 is definitely Orbison. 100 = Robert Smith? You made a great job mainly in the area #4 0's / #50's. The are the only one specialized here.
Concerning #19 it is hard to determine if Suzie Quatro or Christine McVie As Mick Fleetwood is just close to her, I'll vote for Christine McVie your first thought ?? Also I doubt that #45 is Bryan Ferry ?? I have uploaded 12 pictures representing the whole poster. Well, I'm a big fan of rock music in general, and everything that spun off from rock, from small town halls to Arena concerts, the magazines, the cult films, the sexuality, the drugs, the trends, the fashions, the clothings, except perhaps MTV, but I'm not even quite sure, everything that says "F... you!".
Better go through my posts again. I see a few that aren't right, like #90 which is supposed to be Joe Walsh. And you can surely drop Rory Gallagher. He doesn't have any clout in the US and the poster is rather US centric. Also, try switching from yellow-unreadable over light grey, to darkorange-much easier on the eyes. Thanks for the fun. I haven't given up on #59 and #83. But my brain does need a little rest. Could you give make some sharp closeup shots of those 2 only, please ?
