Forum Post/Hyperlink Enhancement: Text to be displayed for the link.

Forum Post/Hyperlink Enhancement: Text to be displayed for the link.

What I think might be helpful is to enhance the hyperlink feature when you are creating a post. Specifically the text to be displayed for the link option.

As of now, if you type in something you want to be a hyperlink, you then click on the hyperlink icon and it generates the "text to be displayed for the link" box. Well having this option is good, but what is slightly cumbersome is the fact that it does not automatically include the original text you had typed in the post text box, so it forces you to retype what you had already type if what you had already typed is in fact what you want as the text to be displayed as the link.

This is slightly hindering too because, let's say you are on a website and you want to copy and paste a guitar model name into the post text box as the text for the link, and maybe it's a very specific, detailed and long model name..... Well if you go back and copy the actual website url to become the link you will have to type out the entire detailed model name as the text, because not only does the "text to be displayed for the link" box not provide the original text, but it doesn't allow you to switch back and forth between other websites within the same window at that point, so you can't just copy the model name again. The box freezes up the browsing usage, so you can't click on the other tabs to go back to the website to copy and past the model name or website url. (The workaround for this could be to have another window open with the same websites, but this is somewhat counter intuitive).

So basically the fix to all of this would be to automatically provide the original text you had typed in to automatically be the ""text to be displayed for the link".

Anyone else agree with me?
