I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea to feed starving children/people, but I think that money would be better spent (in the long term) on finding solutions to the problems causing the lack of food. If the issue is poor soil, work on that. If it's poor irrigation, work on that. I'm not talking about feeding homeless people. I'm talking about regions where famine and starvation are chronic issues.

I remember that one time when some dude was asking for donations to help build a well for some kids or something.

I wonder how that's going. Somebody find that thread.

Half to animal sheltering/protection, half to my pocket because I could really use that money to better myself and family. Though my only requirement to donate any large sum is that I spend the money myself so I know it goes to something useful, I don't believe in blindly donating to any cause without knowing where it actually goes.

Education is important and, I like Black People, plus, I really know of someone who it'll piss off so, the UNCF is a tempting option. In fact one day, I might just donate some money to them for the hell of it, wouldn't be a lot mind, like £20.00 or something.

This almost comes off as self-serving but...

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I want a cure just as much as everyone else affected by it. If I was playing solely for a charity, that'd be the one.

agree but there are numerous different charitys doing different things operating in africa. it's not as simple as all the money is spent on keeping starving people barely living each day. rich people like bill gates, opera winfrey ect. spend ALOT of money on educating the people aswell EDIT: they think the more educated they will become the less they will breed there are programs to build wells in comunities which is vital. within the next few generations things might get slightly better.
