Tone help: Beatles "Get Back"

I need some help. Trying to figure out how to best get a tone as used in the Beatles "Get Back". The guitar part in question is the one that plays all the little lead riffs. Its a very muffly sounding guitar tone. It also plays some rythm backing that has a very interesting, understated bark to it.

Here is you tube:

Any suggestions?

I usually associate that tone with a small amp and a small speaker running flat out with a humbucker or p90. When my champ still had an 8 inch speaker and I ran it on 10 with my PRS with the tone rolled off it was very similar.

I would imagine it was a Vox AC15 but that's truly just a guess.
