I used to hate Avenged Sevenfold, but I decided to give them another chance and I realized the guitarists are two very gifted musicians, along with the singer, so my question to you all, why do you think people give this band such hate?

But also because their main audience are 13 year old emo kids and most people don't want to associate themselves with that crowd.

It takes alot for me to hate a band, I listen to everything from Classic Rock to gangster rap. So far the only band I have found hate for is brokencyde, they make A7X look like Primus.

I do enjoy their music though, like I said Im pretty open minded to music, but fanbase on the other hand.....

Fan base is one thing, personally, I don't like their fan base, but the musicians within the band, I can't help but respect them and acknowledge their talents.

mostly because when it comes to metal bands everyone has their favorites that are underground, and when they hear metal on the radio they wonder why this band is here while their favorite is not.... so if you happen to be mainstream popular most metalheads will hate you, unless you were around before 1993

Personally, I just don't like how 1) they all have ridiculous stage names; 2) their music all sounds overproduced and is NOT really that talented, compared to what I usually listen to; and 3) their fans are annoying emo shits who think AX7 is so HARDCORE! Most kids like that wouldn't know hardcore if it made their ears bleed.

Also, I have listened to quite a bit of their music. It was ok, as far as popular music goes. However, it got boring fast. For some damn reason, I actually bought their latest album, and it's...pretty much the worst album I own.
