Fulltone OCD

I just recently bought a fulltone OCD. I love the sound, it has everything I want, but I ran into a slight problem.

I have a 12v power adapter for it, but it won't get any power. This is the second pedal I've bought so I don't have much experience with them. Anyone know whats wrong?

It worked (unplugged) for about 2 days until it finally died (from retail). Now I can't use it.

EDIT: It's plugged into the same power strip as my amp and my amp is getting power, does it have to be a certain type of adapter?

are you sure the adapter was DC (what pedals run on) and not AC (what comes out of your outlets?

if you fed it AC you probably killed it.

i have used my OCD at 18 volts (again all pedals are DC) and it sounded great. i have tried it at 12 volts and sounds good there.

Damnit! You're right. I didn't even think about it. I hope they will let me get a new one?

Nevermind, the adapter that I used was a DC but only 5v, why it didn't charge. But, I found a 12v one that I had, but it's for a piece of netopia equipment, would it be safe to try it? Would a standard one work, or will I have to buy a Dunlop one?
