Am I the only one that can`t see the back of the headstock when I`m tuning my guitar, sounds inconvenient.

The SG was supposed to replace the Les Paul guitar it wasn't going to be an addition to the catalog it was going to completely replace the Les Paul. Of course Les Paul did not approve of this, he wasn't too keen on the double cut of the guitar and refused to have his name licensed on it. So they called it an SG, which I think stands for Solid Guitar or Solid body Guitar. Technically it was a Les Paul and would have been but thankfully Les Paul didn't want his name on it so instead of scrapping the single cut Les Paul we now have two awesome different guitars. I like that guitar except for the the headstock tuner crap I could do without that but I mean 24 frets and P90 pickups probably just screams.

What's in a name anyway? It's a cool looking SG.

I'd hit it.

He had more issue with how they set the neck in. He thought the guitar would break easy.

I personally think SGs look kind of plain without a pickguard.

They've had great success with the Tribute line of LPs, why not expand the line to the other body shapes?

Though the SGJ and 70s Tribute SGs are what've caught my eye.

The hunt for the elusive '59 SG continues.........

But in all seriousness I kinda dig the model, though the fretboards are wayyyy too dark to be rosewood. And it for sure shouldnt be called a 50's tribute SG. But an intresting model either way
