Circa Survive is great, but I wouldn't exactly say their songs are beautiful. But that's just my opinion. |

It's more so the vocal and guitar melodies I find beautiful. Particularly on On Letting Go

I know it's a remix, but it's done damn well. I love the original band, and I was originally going to pick one of their songs, but this is softer so I think it works better for the thread. |

His voice is quite amazing. I really enjoy their Safe Camp session included on the end of Blue Sky Noise. Listening to Circa now ![]() |

Listening to the song while watching the video still gets me in the feels even though I've seen it plenty of times. I don't know. Something about it just makes me feel peaceful.

5 of my favorites, in no particular order.
1. Alfie Boe's rendition of "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables, one of the few songs able to bring me to tears. 2. Bogoroditse Devo, We just took this song on a choir tour and it was magical. I can't find a recording that I feel does the dynamics quite correctly, but essentially the entire piece is pianissimo or piano, but there is a small section that goes to fortissimo within about half a second and no warning, i've sang this song literally hundreds of times and it has yet to not give me chills. 3. October - Eric Whitacre, another piece I've had the pleasure of performing, although sadly as a trumpet player instead of the woodwind section. This piece is fantastic, the choral version is very nice as well 4. My Way - Frank Sinatra, arguably my favorite song of all time. I don't know what it is about this piece, but it is just so easy to get lost in. 5. Accidental Babies - Damien Rice, a song that isn't particularly noteworthy, really simple typical Damien Rice stuff, but he has a way of connecting with the listener that I have yet to hear from another contemporary artist. |
