how to keep fingers parallel?

okay i'm like really short, 5"0-1, VERY small hands ..my guitar teacher keeps teasing me about it. But I know people with small hands can still learn to play well, so I'm trying.

At first I couldn't even reach frets 1,2,3,4 no matter what i did. I did a lot of stretches at FIRST there was improvement but now nothing's happening and my reach is still not "good".

Do any of you have good exercises to keep hands parallel?

Hands or fingers?

Either way, it doesn't matter. There are no exercises specific to keeping your fingers any one way. Just focus on that when you practice and it'll become habit.
