Best Blues Amp Under 180 NEW?

Simple, i'm looking for the best value amp with the best tone and most versatility for under 180

I play blues, funk, and clean ambient stuff.

The clean sound is very important, must be very sparkly and rich. and it must be able to get a nice warm vintage crunch tone (hendrix)

MUST BE NEW

Any suggestions?

Because someone will ask, I might as well. Why are you limiting yourself to just new? I'm not going to put an argument up for either way I just know that until we have a valid reason for new people will ask, and ignore the statement.

Laney Cub 10 will come in just under budget. Find a few more quid and grab a Cub 12.

With that budget you're out of your mind restricting yourself to new.

I can understand wanting new, but Cathbard is right with a budget that low you really are very limited in what you can buy.

The VHT and Laney are probably the best you'll find in your price range. Also take a look at the Fender Champ if it is in your price range.

For that amount, do what I did and get yourself a Fender Frontman 25R along with a Eminence Rajun Cajun 10" Speaker. The stock speakers on the Frontmans are crap, so installing the Eminence will not only give you a much better sound, but also increase the volume as well. My amp now sounds more like a 50 watt amp instead of a 25 watt one. Trust me on this one. It's definately what you can use for Blues, etc.

it would be a diecent choice, but withonly 5 watts you will have little clean headroom. If you play at home this is fine, if you play with a drummer you'll never have good cleans
