wireless makes muddy tone

ok i have an elecrto voice n/dym wireless for my guitar. it sounds muddy as hell when i use it. i used it for bass when i got it and it worked great. it has an xlr balanced output and a 1/4" unbalanced.
now my questions are.....
1-is it possible to make a cable that is xlr-1/4?
2-will using a balanced signal be gooder (not muddy) than unbalanced?
3-should i start looking for a new wireless?

Cathbard Grumpy Old Tech Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Australia	Pin 2 on the XLR goes to the tip, pins 1 and 3 you tie to earth. you can get them at radio shack. it accepts an XLR and outputs into an unbalanced 1/4".

so i wont need to make a new cable? just pick up an XLR and use a normal 1/4"?

Audio technica make one that has female XLR>male 1/4"

I actually just got 4-5 for free from a friend

Don't know how much they cost but do a search for NA2F-D0B-TX. That should get you out of trouble. Edit: There ya go, Radio Shack have some.
