Yep.

My Duncan Convertible 1x12 was TINY, but that thing weighed more than any 4x12 I've ever lifted. That ****er was ridiculous trying to move it (I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it weighed like 140 lbs)

You live in a house with stairs and you don't own a stairwalker trolly, Derek? Care to explain why?

And I should add, if you have a proper trolley with a strap it even makes it easier to get into the truck even without a loading dock or ramp. You get into the truck and drag it up by those nice big handles.
It really amazes me when you lot talk about carrying amps around. Seriously, We aren't living in hunter gatherer times; we have wheels, use them. There is no need to hurt your back carrying heavy amps and you don't have to compromise on the size of the amp, just use the right equipment. A little preparation and all the problems go away. You spend thousands on your gear and cant afford a $50 trolley? Wtf is wrong with you?

In Caths defense, Dollys do work wonders. Three men couldnt move a fridge more than 10 feet. One man with a dolly moved it right out of the house.

Yea simple machines!

I have 3 flights of stairs on old wooden steps. It's old antique wood. No way a dolly is going up and down them. I have to man handle it up and down. Dolly afterwards if needed.

Really only my Mesa Mark V is a pain. Everything else is easily manageable.

What you need is a good stairwalker with the right sized wheels and nice cushy tyres. You won't damage a thing. How do you think a removalist would do it? He isn't going to break his back for you, he'll just grab the appropriate trolley.

Not a big deal. I can lift and move the amp. It builds character. It stays in one place mostly.

You need one anyway. One never knows when one will need to move a body.
They aren't that expensive and it will one day save your back. I'm sure your amp isn't the heaviest thing in your house and shit happens. One day you'll thank me.

I like to feel better about myself after accomplishing the monumental task of taking extremely bulky and heavy things up and down the stairs

Cathbard has never been to the SouthWestern US.

Here we can drive to the local Home Depot and hire illegal immigrants. No need for a dolly.

And that was a very bad joke. Even worse is the fact its true. Personally I do not sanction that type of thing but obviously others do.

Well you finally got to use it. My favorite part was the "panther". Loved that movie.

Why use a dolly when you can get bulging biceps?

I come in here and all I hear is bitch bitch whine moan complain whine bitch.

BUNCHA DAMN PANZIES! PUT SOME BACK INTO IT!

Alternatively to the dolly, you could always just put some damn casters on your amp. That's what I did to my 2x12 as soon as I got it. Obviously, the dolly has many advantages over this, such as being useful on stairs and gravel, but most often, my head is sitting on top of my 2x12 which I'm rolling about. The rest of the time, I just carry it. Of course, I'm not a small individual. Hell, the factory I used to work at made one-piece vinyl bus floors, and I carried those 20-30ft about every 20 minutes, had to grab them and half0toss them on stacks, and they weighed about 250lbs. We weighed one roll that we used for sides for the most standard size, and it was 92lbs, and we had to carry those around constantly.

If you guys would put your purses down, yyou would find these things are much easier to carry

I have an aversion to casters ever since I caught one roady using my combo as a billy cart (box cart?) down the loading ramp.
