Asking Robert Godin to sign another brand of guitar?

Hi everyone,

I have the opportunity to visit two Godin factories next Wednesday and meet (and chat with) Robert Godin, the creator of the company, with a few other people. Godin guitars are renown in the world, not only in Canada. (http://www.godinguitars.com/)

I know my next purchase WILL be a Godin Progression or passion RG, but cannot purchase it before going there, so he would have the opportunity to sign one of its own creation.

I am thinking of bringing another guitar I own for him to sign, maybe one of those 3:
1. my 60's Riviera acoustic which my father learned
2. my Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster
3. my 71 Aria 5102T which I reconditioned

Do you think it is rude to ask someone you idolize to sign your guitar if it is not one of his brand
Guitar / Bass / Keyboard / Back Vocals

Sterling JP50, Fender CP Jazzmaster, Danelectro Danoblaster 12 strings, Aria 5102T, Epiphone LP STD 7 string => Carvin V3M

Peavey Cirrus BXP-5 => Trace Elliot GP7SM250

Korg X50

I don't think so, It would be pretty stupid to think that every single one of your(his) fans would have your guitar brand.

You should be fine
It's over simplified, So what!
context is irrelevant
