Those are the only releases of this year out of the admittedly paltry amount that I've kept up with that I'm still down with. It's odd how ones tastes can change so fast over a few months.

Of particular note due to its hypey-ness is that I was impressed by new Cattle Decap but then I realized it's essentially BTBAM reset into "grindcore" circumstance, blergh.Don't have it but I've heard some stuff from it in a friend's car, good shit.I was quite impressed by this, haven't seen/heard anyone else make note of it!

Studying at the premier studio in Scotland where Calvin Harris and shit record, started up a wee label and I might be having my first gig of the new material I'm working on being in support of Alt-J who just won the Mercury Prize (even though they're shite) in a 1000-cap venue, which is mental.

Really? I think the kindest thing I could say about it would be that it has it's moments. But for the most part I just found it a bit lacklustre, the energy didn't seem there, it just felt too clinical and the songs didn't seem good enough to overlook the above.

Are you familiar with Necro Deathmort? I don't know bugger all about dubstep or what stylistic features it has (other than wobs ), but I've heard people suggest that this is essentially dubstep and doom.

And they have so many fans because they continue to push the boundaries of the metal genre, and their diversity also helps them appeal to some of the more occasional metal-listeners...
