I'm from where you are and energy drinks are REALLY expensive generally. If you're not going to Poundland, Monster usually costs £1.50+.

Eh, I prefer coffee over energy drinks. But I am slowly becoming more and more comfortable with them.

I'm more of a coffee guy, but energy drinks are nice for when you want something cold and fizzy.

I can get cans of Monster for about 40c each from work (I work in a hotel with a bar).



Only as unhealthy as a standard soft drink, it's just down to the sugar. Most of them come in sugar free varieties now anyway.

Caffeine isn't particularly unhealthy, in fact it's associated with a reduced risk of developing Parkinson's, type 2 diabetes, and liver and heart diseases. In very high doses it can kill you, but that's next to impossible without taking caffeine tablets or powder. Caffeinism could present a problem for some people but that's only going to happen if you're drinking a lot every day, and can be prevented by just stopping if it does effect you.
