Okay so I'm 21, I was a kid not too long ago, but the weirdest thing happened to me today.
I live in The Netherlands, and common rule in traffic is that everything that comes from the right gets priority to go first.

The crosspoint where I was on was a little bit obscure, but the kids that come from the left to go to their schools ride their bikes like maniacs there.
So when I wanted to cross all of the sudden these kids come by with like 30 km/h on their bikes racing to be the 1rst to school or something.

I simply said to the kids: "excuse me, but I do believe people from the right get priority!".
Some smart ass kid turns around and says: "shut the **** up asshole."....
Seriously? What is the youth coming to these days?

Me being not a person to be walked over by a kid told him to get lost cause I didn't want to make him run crying to his mom and he quickly drove off.

I'd probably fit up the higher end of these "kids" you're complaining about (I'm 17) and i notice the other way around. Here in Aus it's the same deal, traffic to the right gets right of way. But apparently that doesn't seem to apply to learner drivers, or 'kids' riding to school. I frequently had run ins at a round-about near my house where someone would not indicate, or worse indicate right, just to turn left, nearly hit me, then pull over to shout abuse at me for crossing the road.
As an L-Plater it's even worse, there's people here who are really stuck in the "I don't want to be behind an L-Plater" mindset from when there was a 60km/h speed limit on L-Platers (It's now 100km/h, which is almost irrelevant). I indicated to change lanes to the left once, and there was a space for me to do so. The second I turn on my indicator the car behind where I wanted to go absolutely floors it, then shouts at me because I nearly hit him.

I really think different generations need to remember that they were/will be that old at one point.
