But you don't need video games. In fact the ******ed price of video games is a big part of why I largely gave them up by the time I was in high school.

Which was likely for the best now that I think about it.

Erm, none of those are that important. Be happy that you can wake up at dawn that easily.

You do if you have no friends and nothing to do. Everyone needs to be entertained. I don't mind the price if it's a good game that gives me plenty of bang for my buck. But 70 bucks for Street Fighter? That takes what... Like three days to program? And they expect me p pay what I paid for Skyrim?

You don't need music, but that didn't stop people from listing it. Same for Red Bull and guitar strings.

I should've specified, not essential items for life, else people would just list food, shelter, and water. Just items essential to YOUR life.

For what it is, for sure.

I would go to Walmart, as they have like 2/$10 deals on plain shirts, but ever since I read this (also hearing about this kind of shit over the years) I don't shop there anymore..

Potassium Choloride for my well water high magnesium. $25 a bag, eight times a year.

Hair cuts. My hair grow too fast and there's no way i'm paying $15 every two weeks. I cut it myself now.

Train tickets. Every year our train company are permitted to rise their prices by Annual Inflation Rate +/- 1% and every year, without fail, they rise it by the maximum they possibly can.

It's also more expensive to buy a ticket before 9am, which makes no sense as the trains are more crowded and more likely to be delayed or cancelled, which they usually always are.

It makes perfect sense from a business point of view - people need the trains for their commute, so they're prime targets for being milked dry. What else are they going to do?

It's a bit like how petrol is more expensive on motorways.
