Nah I get that, but it was just an insult in January 2009 when VAT had just decreased before christmas and everyone was talking about these 'tough financial times ahead' and all the 'imminent job losses' and how we are all 'in this together' and then they raise their ****ing prices by the maximum.

You guys moaning about $60 games, switch to pc. I got the new Hitman on day of release for $32. Also got Borderlands 2, the day after release, for $30. Saves you so much money in the long term.

I broke my computer. And my old lady refuses to let me put games on hers. So I created a new character based on her in New Vegas an threw myself to the Deathclaws while laughing maniacally. She doesn't understand that I've waited twelve years to play Diablo 3.

Most games aren't like that though. Go on steam and a brand new game (Borderlands 2, for an example) is $59.99 right now.

I never got around to playing it. But it's not like Diablo 2 was as great as we thought it was. It was merely a game teaching us how capitalism works. Grind for equipment to kill Baal two seconds faster than I can already kill him. Rinse, repeat. Then spend 8 hours in chat asking wuw wug wuw wug over and over.

Come to think of it, I remember how pissed off I was when it first came out and you couldn't sneakily player kill people anymore.

You can buy Steam codes off certain websites for real cheap. Thats how I got those games really cheap. I only really buy off Steam itself when games are on sales. If I want a new game, I check on all these sites first. You order a code and they get sent a bunch of them and email you a unique code. You then redeem it in Steam and BOOM! New game for the price of one about 1-2 years old

Yeah, clothes mostly. I want to dress better but can rarely stomach paying what it takes to do so.

Coats.

Then when I get them, I always start having doubts the same day and feel really awkward in them, and as soon as people look at the coat I feel like retutning it.

Sample libraries and related software. They're easily $500-1000 a pop, but no avoiding it. Gotta have them for work.

Three weeks ago, I bought a few winter shirts from Banana Republic LOL. My friend gave me a 50% discount on a max of 5 items. What was $300 for just 4 shirts got slashed to around $130. It was a complete last minute thing since I thought the offer would be around for a while but apparently it was gonna be gone that weekend.

Literally right after this, I had to purchase an iPad Mini as a present for family that I was about to visit in China. Being the first week, all the cheaper models with 16GB storage sold out, much to my surprise (I thought no one was gonna buy the Mini, now I realize it's the standard for the future). The stores only had black 16GBs and white 64GBs (which are MUCH more expensive). It turns out that the black version is the ugliest thing I've ever seen, and I couldn't bring myself to buying it even though it'd be about $250 cheaper. I ended up spending just over $600 for the white 64GB with a smart cover.

Also, I'll probably be getting this early next year:

Yes, that's a $900 (with tax) chair. Yes I need it. Yes, it really is that good.

I'm incredibly passive aggressive. I have a buddy who doesn't call, so I made a character based on him. Gave him no strength or intelligence, made him an alcoholic drug dealer, and force him to have sex with male prostitutes. He and Fisto are real close.
