Been suffering from this from Sunday to Tuesday. And it sucks! Anyway I'm feeling better now although still fatigued. I really feel like eating now but am advised to stick to things like bread and crackers for a few days -_-

Anyone else have food poisoning before? How long did you wait until you started eating and drinking normally again? And spare me the talk to your local GP crap

I got it during a cruise to the Bahamas with my family. It was horrible, especially since I was on a boat and didn't have access to good medical care for about 4 days. When I finally got back into the States I ended up staying in the hospital for a couple of days. I know that feel, bro.

yeah i looked up some stories of food poisoning online and it seems I should be lucky I don't have it as bad as some other people do.
I just barfed a lot, shat a lot, slept a lot, drank a lot, and didn't eat a single thing for two days.
Gonna risk getting a kebab now. This is probably not a good idea...

I took a carrot to the ass once (long story) and got a rash on my ass for a week cuz I'm allergic to carrots. If that counts anyway.

I've had it once and I was up spewing for like 2 hours between 2 and 4 in the morning. I had broken capillaries all around my eyes and on my cheeks and I had bloodshot eyes. I was up all the rest of the night blowing my nose and coughing up mucous because I spewed so hard I blasted all the mucous out of my sinuses. The pressure was so much I got the worst headache I've ever endured.

I was back to eating properly the next morning and didn't so much as feel like spewing again. The bloodshot eyes and broken capillaries lasted 4-6 days though, the leaking sinuses lasted a whole day, and the headache lasted for 2 or 3.

Yes I've had it before. I and my youngest son got it from the same thing, Dairy Queen brownie batter blizzard. Something in it was uncooked and it contained salmonella. I verified it with the doctors. We had our dinner about 6pm or so. About 1am I was blowing chunks, half hour later he was too. Lasted until well past sunrise next day, then ill feeling for next 3 after that. By the 4th day after felt good enough to eat solids again, but lighter things like soups and such. There you have it. Keep susceptable foods away from that danger zone of 40F-140F. Store below or heat above.

I got it really bad a few years ago. I couldn't keep any food down for close to a week, I ended up in the ER for being severely dehydrated.

I got it in Germany and it hit me real bad. I got dehydrated and fainted twice before I got help. :\ After three days I HAD to go home, so I stuffed myself full of medicine and boarded the plane. Two days after that everything was back to normal.

Like four months ago I ate some dubiously tasting fish and threw up several times the following night and morning. I don't think this counts as food poisoning tho.

I remember I had it bad 7 or 8 years ago when I was lost in a wood with my cousin and we drank some probably-not-clean river water. Ended up spewing this colour for 3 days, I shit you not.
Funny looking back, but at the time it felt so unbelievably shit
