Basically when I was a little kid I wanted to be a detective. I read a million mystery books and tried to find my own mysteries to solve (I never did). But, as I've gotten older I realized that I'm not the type of person who could actually do that. So this is something similar that meets with my skills.

I found it through an FBI info session they had at my school. It was kind of like "Did you know that the FBI hires accountants?" kind of thing a few months ago, but I found this and it seems like it would be perfect.

This is really the first time I've had a solid plan for what I want to do.

Everything really.. It's hard to explain. I hate eye contact, struggle to ask people out or sometimes even simple questions like "sorry, can you repeat yourself?", have trouble speaking to individuals in general, or something.. What makes me think I'm ******ed though is that I'm not reclusive or introverted in any way. Like I'd parade around naked in public or do some other really stupid things if I know it's gonna entertain someone and make them feel good. I don't think it's a confidence issue, although it could be. I've never really been truly satisfied with my body although I really love who I am if that makes any sense. I dress nice and have a straight back and smile at everyone even if I don't mean it so I feel as if that makes up for that whole thing.

The thoughts being rejected can provoke are funny..

Man, that's awesome that you're passionate about it.

There aren't many better feels (sorry Blake) in the world than knowing what you plan to do with your life, knowing that you'll enjoy it, and that it's within plausible reach. Once you find that you just feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, even though you haven't fully reached it yet.


It sounds to me like you're pretty introverted.

Is this stuff just with females, or people in general? Do you have friends that you regularly hang out with? It takes a lot of practice getting used to interacting with strangers and new acquaintances. Lack of confidence seems to be a factor: not with yourself, but with your socializing skills. You don't seem confident in your abilities. It's tough, but even just pretending to be comfortable in unfamiliar settings or situations is sufficient enough to make you see how people act towards you, which should tell you how to deal with that person. Everyone has a different personality. It's a hard game to be a friend with everyone when we're all so different.

Do you go to school or have a job at the moment? Those are two places where everyone else is just as unfamiliar with the people around them. Working really helped myself in breaking out of my shell. Taking fast food orders put me on point to converse and learn a lot about communication. Making sure I was friendly and professional while customers were satisfied and put in effort to establish good relationships with co-workers.

i was going to say "yes" and then look for a cool BASE jump video to show here but ended up on a video of a BASE jump accident that killed a famous jumper who was flying in a wing suit

i didn't want to watch it but i kinda wanted to hear the aftermath so i skipped forward a bit, and while you couldn't really see anything since the incident was so far away, I ended up skipping to the exact instant where the jumper in question flew into a railing at 120mph and the sound the impact of his body made was just
