New Toaster Day!
If you can' tell what it is by the title, here's some pics of the opening.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (for comparison) Vox Lil' Night Train. It sounds pretty damn good to me plugged into my 4x12 but sometime in the near future I plan on ripping the front and speaker off my POS Windsor and making a 1x12 for it. It's a fun little amp to play around on. It stays really clean in the bright channel with just enough grit for some older rock (think Eddie Cochran or something similar). The thick channel has more distortion, but to me sounds a bit muffled (which was easily fixed by a TS copy to cut the bass or when I use the speaker from the Windsor instead of my 4x12). It can go from clean to 70's-early 80's hard rock and metal. It's a good amp. It can get loud, but is very manageable on quiet. I like it. It's just something fun to mess around with in my spare time.

one of my favorite amps. if i wanted to drop about 300 bones just for the bedroom, i would do it....which is silly because 99% of my playing is in my room anyways. but still for those other times.....

I find that the bright channel's gain is muffled and the thick isn't. And way to copy the same title as my thread, down to the exclamation point HNGD ![]()

Put some JJ's in it instead of the stock Chinese ones.
Opens it right up. Been using mine heaps recently while my wizard is waiting to get fixed. HNAD

Oh. That's pretty wide. Too wide for what I was thinking. Make a headshell for it and try your hand at modding. A new set of JJ's does wonders for a Windsor. A bit of tweaking and they can sound quite nice. This is the studio 15, yes?
