NTD (NewTubeDay)
UPS just delivered these to me. got them for $15 each on MF (had to do a little haggling
)I have 2 vintage Mullard ECC83's in my DSL and I wanted to see how these compare. And cathbard always says you can never have too many tubes ![]()

No, no you can't.
![]() Don't you just love the way old Mullards give a bright flash when you first turn them on to announce themselves?

I have never seen them light up, they are on a JCM2000 head shell, but they sound phenominal and pretty damn articulate also JJ's sound good in it, but the NOS tubes sound way better to me, or maybe its just I know they are there ![]()

I've spent hours going through my collection to optimise my Abbey. As much as I like JJ's there isn't a single modern tube in it.

the only problem with having a lot of tubes is that it takes longer to go through all the combinations to see what works best for you.
![]() i'll take that downside any day! ![]() |

I need to get some NOS tubes because it sounds great with JJs. I bet NOS would send it to another level

I DON'T SEE A REVIEW YET!
I'm interested to hear what you have to say about them, especially compared to their NOS counterpart.

I refuse to put NOS anything in my gear. I feel that if I did, I would never be able to suffice with the "norm", therefor creating yet another huge hole in my wallet. I got my ears tuned exactly how I want them.
