Bogner Alchemist + 1960B 4x12
I recently decided to go with this combination, but I'm a little confused regarding Ohms/Wattage. Super beginner question, I know. Anyway here are the specs on the cab:
Speakers: 4 Celestion G12T-75 Power: 300 watts Mono/Stereo selectable Stereo Impedance: 8 ohm Mono Impedance: 16/4 ohm On the back of the Bogner, there are three outs: B (2 outs): Connect 8 Ohm pair OR 4 Ohm single A (1 out): 8 Ohm out (16 Ohm OK) I understand the very basics of impedance, resistance, and wattage, but the way this should be connected is a little confusing to me -- should I connect the head's two B outs to the cab's L/R inputs set at stereo? Lastly, will the head being 40W and the cab being 300W pose any problems? I've read that using an amp with a lower wattage than the cabinet is fine, but I just want to be sure. Thanks for your help! Connect the Mono impedance (4ohm) of your cab to the B 4ohm out of your amp. No problems at all with wattage.
