Muted sound like in In Flames - Ropes

Hey!

I'm trying to play http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/i/i...s_intro_tab.htm , in Tab Pro, but I can't get the palm muted sounds to sound like in the song itself.

Any idea what kind of amp settings or pedal is used to get similiar efffect?

Shallow and pedantic.

Schecter Blackjack SLS C-1 , with Seymoar Duncan Blackouts in C Standard tuning.

Amp is Peavey Vypyr 75, on either the Krankenstein or 6505 Amp models.
(I know the amp is bad, and I am just waiting to find a Krankenstein here in Norway. There's only one for sale in the whole country right now)

Meh, tried all I can but the only way for me to play it properly and nice sounding is to skip out some of the palm muted notes.
