yeah. i certainly didn't expect mine to be convertible but i was pretty pleased to discover it was. Way I see it, I might as well have the option.
  and yeah i noticed that + one too, but it doesn't seem to be available over here. I also wonder how porting affects the tone (I have no idea  ).

I'll be honest, I have no clue what porting is.
I was pretty happy mine was too. I mean, I might never use it, but I can if I want to Kinda like my stero cab

i would do one of two things.
sell your cab and buy something new. or buy a cab with speakers you like and (1) keep the new cab or (2) pull the speakers out put in new cab and sell the gutted cab. you could find a line 6 sidervalve cab that has all V30's for less than $300. speakers are worth it alone.

That would work great if not for two things:
1.) I'm not paying for these, it's a gift from my mom/grilfriend who are each paying for one speaker. I tried to get a used cabwith V30's, but none were anywhere close to the budget range. 2.) I already ordered the speakers. I plan on getting a 4x12 once I've got a job again. I'm gonna order a custom one from Whitebox with V30's and K100's in an X with the Metal Grill that I've always wanted. (gregs will back me up on that one! ) It'll only be like $700 with stereo, the grill, and casters, plus it'll have the exact speakers I want and be nice and shiny and new. Completely worth it.
