Live physical antics
Good day pit dwellers.
Quick query here. I used to have really long hair (like so long it would tickle my arse crack when taking a shit) & I used to be able to headbang/windmill like **** for an entire set when playing live. I shaved the hair off a few years back & have recently started gigging again. Problem is I’m looking a bit static now. I’ve tried throwing in a few guitar swings, Busted jumps etc but still running out of ideas after 5 minutes. My questions is this pit folk, what the **** do you do at gigs to stop yourself looking static/boring? What do you do to put on a show? P.S. We are a recently established band playing small venues. We do not have access to pyrotechnics, backing dancers, grand pianos, bloody spitting midgets etc. Or mini Stonehenge’s. WOOOO! Spinal Tap \m/ OHH, I play metal. So I can’t get a stool or owt. I just kind of groove to the music.
Now that i play more bass, i tend to do the typical bassist movements like head bobbing and the occasional bass face.
