Amplifier Slave

I tried plugging the redbox (DI) output from a tubemeister 5 into the effect loop of a Fender HRD. Then I plugged in a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter into the effect loop out of the Fender HRD.

Basically I was using the Fender speaker as a cabinet for the H&K head.

Can this cause arm to the amplifier?

I think the tubemeister has a speaker defeat button?
Basically what you're doing is fine if the head has some sort of load on the speaker out. You have to either plug it into a cab or an attenuator or use the speaker defeat button if it has one.

I bet this is covered in the manual.
