the christmas poem written two years back

i found this piece of paper under my bed back in portland. the title at the top says "cardiac arrest" now i only know it as the christmas poem written two years back. reeks of the end of 2010. its your christmas gift.

snow accumulates, mechanically,
an erector set, flakes built to cliffs,
we jump from and hang-glide down,
feel the air ripple in our skin,
holding out our arms and letting the scream echo
when we see ghosts

when we saw ghosts

we are scared so we open our eyes too wide
to see a dark apartment bedroom,
heavy beasts snoring in the floorboards,
we can't stop our ribcage
as it shudders and our lungs convulse on their own accord
while a girl whose not our girlfriend
leaves a trail of hideous moans constricting and devouring our stomach

we close our eyes and see her body,
feel her legs against our hands as we hold them taught above her breasts
and the terrible thrusting, sound of suction, smell of shudder and explosion,
the ocean for us is in each synapse
fighting god inside our tear-ducts,
memory and Christmas lights,
a Portland rain and a cherub's warmth in winter night,
galvanize, then shiver,
through it all,
when we see ghosts

when we saw ghosts

Pain in remembering a past sexual intimacy. Very vivid, I can feel emotion dripping from this.

Nice work.
