So coming up for Christmas I get to ask for some guitar things I've already decided on a Digidelay for one pedal. I bought myself a Fender Champ 25 for super cheap and a PSU + Daisy chain. Now I get to ask my mom to fork over some cash. So after the Digidelay, I'm deciding between the Dan'o Fish N Chips and the tremol-no. The amp won't come in for another week, but I though I'd get started.

I've read several places that the Tremol-no can really help sustain and improve overall tone. I've also read that it's utter BS. I just keep 5 trem springs on all the time on my Strat. The trem arm isn't even screwed in. People have said it takes the springs out of the equation and that the springs absorb vibration, technical junk etc. It all sounds logical when you read about.

I've read that an EQ can make any amp sound better. You can cut problem frequencies and just make the sound much clearer. I play lots of punk and hardcore. The Strat has a bridge humbucker, if that's relevant

Tremolo Bum

A tremelno is more designed to block off floating trems (floyd rose style) than it is to increase sustain. This allows them to change tunings without going out of tune. I would recommend you get the EQ, it will help you more than the tremelno.

The Tremol-no has its uses, but it definitely does make your tone any fatter.

It does give you a fatter tone to some extent, but that's under comparative listening. After a while, you just don't hear the difference no more.

if you are stranded in a harsh climate like a desert, cover as much of your body as you can to protect yourself from dehydration. filter your urine through a 5 band eq pedal to remove the harmful impurities and drink it as fast as you can.

Yeah, tremol-no's are not very useful from what I've read/seen about them. Go for the EQ, there's always a good use for an EQ.

Even though everyone else established that EQ over tremol-no, if you want the tremol-no for it's tone benefits, you can probably accomplish the same with an EQ.
For spring dampening, use tissue paper, or if you by any chance have any, weather stripping if them vibrating is that bad.

It's hilarious that of all the wild shit Bear Grylls has done on that show the one snippit that he will never outlive is the piss drinking. No mention of the elephant shit he wrung out into his mouth, or any of the vile things he's eaten (rotting sheep carcas' eyes come to mind.) That's gotta really piss him off. Pun intended.
