I like a lot of pop music, including the likes of Nickleback, Coldplay and U2 that a lot of people are probably sick of while waiting for the latest hip hop song on the radio. I will listen to a lot of stuff. If I didn't like it at first, I have to listen to it a few more times then it's buried in my head and then I'm "ok with it". Currently addicted to K-Pop, not only for the music reasons.

All extreme versions of metal are ridiculous and I can't take them seriously.
You deny it now but you will probably grow out of listening to that kind of music. Steve vai is boring. As are the Beatles. Gangnam Style is the biggest pile of crap since Friday. There is not a single RG out there that looks remotely attractive.

I still love Coheed & Cambria's first three albums, they were very important to me in high school. I've since distanced myself from the band though, primarily because a lot of their fans are totally bonkers. Everyone seems to either worship them or despise them, so being in the middle is tricky because of the stigma attached to them.
Not to mention that their last few albums have been varying degrees of bad. Or maybe I've just outgrown that style. Probably both. |
