Most of those posters are probably really stupid people who know nothing about WW2 anyways. There should be a word for 'Americans' that only means 'the idiot ones'.

Why is this even about America, you dummies?
A disaster might very well be on the way. Talk about that.

Oh BTW, guess who's gonna dig deep into their pockets to provide a ton of relief aid for Japan in the case a disaster like a huge Tsunami happens?

Ah yes, the grand country of Europe.

A little unfair comparing a continent to a country, no?

I still don't see how TWEETS of all things by a select few people is all anyone's is talking about.

All I've heard at work is
"Did you hear about that Earthquake off the coast of Japan?"
"Yeah. Hopefully most of the people on the East Coast can get to safety before anything terrible happens."

News about it on the big screen TV in the breakroom, with a crowd of 10-15 people at any given point. Not a single mention of "Was this payback for Pearl Harbor, herp derp?"

Stop being pretentious. Our discussion is relevant.

No, it's not.

The OP nor the article itself had anything to do with American reactions. The first 3 people posting commented on the subject matter.

Then 1 troll dumped a dozen random tweets that were mostly about the damn Olympics, but he but them in a forum that gave them context as if they were all talking about the Tsunami, and off you sheep go.

Now, there ARE shitbags out there that are obviously tweeting....that's TWEETING, random blithering patriotic nonesense, but they're not exactly in the majority.

EDIT: I edited my post a tad in case it looks like you're misquoting me by accident Neo Evil11. My apologies.

Those yanks are lucky they don't live in the UK. You can get charged for things you say on Twitter here. Disgusting.

I hope everyone in Japan is okay.

In a selfish way I hope the all the suppliers for my factory are okay and all Sony employees and buildings are okay.

Exactly.

I remember this happening about 50-60 miles off the coast of Northern California and the town I was living in at the time (which had been destroyed by a Tsunami about 50 years before) started sounding off the Tsunami warning alarm system and we had to evacuate about 25 miles East within 2 hours.

It's not as scary sounding as the old WW2 incoming bombs alarm, but it's still pretty scary sounding.
