What I do in that case, when it alls crumbly, is to roll it as you normally do and then pinch the end and twist it a little, pretty much like a joint, then light the part that's twisted. And don't tilt your cigs upside down

But it's also the rolling part itself that's harder.

Anyway, gone on to smoke American Spirits, much drier (drum was too moist, it'l like a damn pipe tobacco) and pretty decent tasting.

Someone I know brings that stuff back from god knows where every so often. It is truly vile.



I do not like this advice. I believe that pinching the paper together with your fingers and then rolling the paper, not the tobacco itself, yields much better results than if you use your fingers to directly roll the tobacco. It gets compressed together if you do it that, which is bad shit.

It's also important that you set yourself up correctly though, you should break the tobacco apart so there aren't any clumped together bits then spread it evenly (this part is important) across the paper. If it's not consistent before you start rolling it, how will it be consistent afterwards?

Most of this will be useless to people who can't roll though, considering the problem 99% of the time is tucking the paper in and then finishing it off, and this is something that you most likely won't learn from someone else (unless you're doing something ******ed), it just takes practice.

what do you mean using the filter?

Have a decently firm grip on both ends
never let go
use the the point 3/4 up your thumbtip to roll
roll a lot
when tucking, roll the paper down so a few mm of baccy is exposed
do one swift clean movement and it should tuck right in and be decently tight
dont let go of grip
roll from the tip of your thumb to the middle bit
work the shaft

Shaft working is more important when rolling joints, just cos its bigger than your finger utensils, so requires a different method. Working the shaft with cigs is only if you can't roll well but utilising the skill will help you learn to roll.
