Quest for the Non-POS Pointy Guitar

In this thread I'm basically going to list ebay links and ask for info and/ or opinions about them.

#1) Kramer Nite V
I'm kinda scared by the screws in the neck... What do you guys think? If everything us OK, I'm getting it.

The screws on the headstock side of the neck are for the locking nut.

That makes sense. I have not seen closely a guitar with a floyd.

What about the guitar? Kramer Nite V, FR Special, "treble bleed" mod... is it worth getting?

I personally think the new Kramers are kick-ass so it probably is worth it.

On most guitars when you roll down the volume, it tends to get rid of some of the treble as well, the treble bleed prevents that.

If it's onlt an X series, i wouldn't get it.

I'd save a bit of money, be patient and get a Jackson pro series or something like an LTD V400.

Never seen one of those before. Inlays are neat, kinda.

But as T00 said, the Jackson Pro series would make that its bitch.

I would also save up, but right now I do not have a job. When I get a job, I'll get an Agile Reaper.

For now, I'm looking for a V for under $250 so I can get my parents to buy it for me then do chores and stuff to pay for it.
Would a LTD V-50 last for more than a year with no problems?

So you actually have no money atm?

Right... That's going to be a problem, I assumed you already had $250.

Get a job now and then buy the gear yourself. That's what i did and it took me a couple of years to save enough money to buy my Gibson. It's worth it in the long term to be patient now and get something properly good later.

A couple of people have owned that guitar on this forum and they all say it's shit.

There's just something in me that wants a V. The RG's a great guitar, I won't get rid of it, but it's not a V.

Yea man, save up first.

But, unless you're okay with sitting and playing in classical style or standing, a V might not be the BEST idea....

I prefer the classical position, but the top horn on superstrat guitars sits uncomfortably on my chest... maybe that's a reason why I want a V.

Huh. Well then. Yea, like it was said, save up. Jacksons are all great (And you have the RR model or the King V model to choose from!) so I'd recommend one of them.

A pawn shop has an LTD V-200 for $229, I talked him down to $159. Should I get it? They are $500 new.
