Dubstep technique?
Would it be possible to recreate a Dubstep-esque bassline using an envelope filter, a Wah, or an Auto-Filter/wah?

Your best option would be to just not play dubstep anything.

I just think bass effects are underused, I like the wah(I think its a wah at least) on Sir Psycho Sexy

There is technique in Dubstep? Oh, right. You have to turn knobs when you play live.

There's a device called "Hothand" that does exactly this, unsure to how much it costs, though.
