Single effect pedals or multi effect pedal??
I now own a cheap chorus pedal and boss ds-1 distortion pedal but i would like some more options, would i be better off getting more single pedals or just go with a multi effect pedal. I have a $200 limit. Im open to any suggestions let me know what you think.

Yeah, some basic info about what you play and what you want them to do and budget would help dude.
If you don't want to go all out one or the other you could look for one that would work well with single pedals in the chain. I have 6 or 7 single pedals that I use but I'd like to incorporate some delay, vibrato, synth, and some other wacky effects occasionally so I'm going to get a zoom G3. It has all the crazy effects, dirt and amp modelling for backup if something goes on my amp, and a built in pedal tuner which is something I was planning to buy anyway. So for $170 it's a pretty good deal, I started looking into mfx units because I needed a pedal tuner and figured why not just get a small mfx and use it for less used effects and a tuner. |

Music i like to play is anywhere from rock to metal so i would like to have a variety of tones in that aspect and effects such as flange, delay, and a looper. My buget is $200. im also looking into a new amp(something 75-100 watts, big enough to easily keep up with a drummer but still easy to transport). But this will be in the future probably this spring when i get tax money back

Start with a multi fx then transition to single pedals. Get a Boss ME-50 or ME-70, great pedals

Since you put looper on your list I would get the Zoom G3X. Or G3 if the expression pedal is not needed or want to add an external one.
