Okay, delay it is then! I am also looking for a cheap amp. I know this is something else I am asking, I appreciate that. This one is pretty cheap for what it is, but I might be able to get something second hand better for the price. http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-an...with-Reverb/B7J or this oneee http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-RE...=item2577af2bdc Last edited by Habylab : 12-13-2012 at 07:23 AM. |

You could go with a lot of different amps if you're going into that range. I would honestly go with a Roland Cube, or maybe an Acoustic Lead G20 if you're cool with solid state. If you're trying to get vintage I would try going Epiphone or Fender.
Went to see Bloc Party on Sunday, they ruled.

Ah awesome, I am seeing them in February, can't wait! And I have heard they are good. Low wattage though aren't they? |

There's nothing wrong with a boss dd7 or dd20, they get the job done, no more no less, reliable as and a good starting point.
I'm not a fan of the two memory boys at all, I used a dd20 until getting my strymon timeline and I loved it, the de7 is good too. Don't forget about the boss space echo either. The hardwire supernatural is better than the cathedral and replaced mine. Almost every board is better with a phaser so check out the small stone or phase 90 to start off. |

Just opened up my Digitech RP6, which has everything I need, but the distortion switch is knackered, completely broken. Either have to clone a programme and put it above, or get a separate distortion.

nothing beats an old deluxe memory man, the built in preamp really warms up your sound on top of the already warm bucket brigade delay. they're a little pricy ($300-$400) but they sound fantastic and are very versatile. Also you can find an old roland space echo for about the same price, that will give you tape delay AND spring reverb.

They weren't horribly low wattage but it was still pretty easy on the ears. Their live sound and EQ were absolutely phenomenal, no instrument above the other.

Ah okay, I will bare that in mind. I just lost out, stupidly by my own fault, on a Boss Rv-5. It was at £77 pound, I had a sniper set up at £80 max. In last 10 seconds I panicked and increased it to £85, but hit a button to take away postage too... dayum! |

And H20 Chorus and Reverb would be nice. You can (kind of, not quite) fake reverb by using the chorus setting.

A used Jekyll and Hyde will more than likely do everything you want it to do. it does pretty much everything except fuzz and the most uber of brootlulz. you can find them for $75 usd i do not know how much they cost over there but they defiantly are worth a look.
