Advice on practice

Hello i recently got the Speed Kills DVD by Michael Batio. I was wondering how to use the drills and techniques to build speed?

Shallow and pedantic.

Start slow, get your technique right, speed up when you're sure you're entirely comfortable with what you're doing.

It takes just simple practice. I would advise using a metronome and playing it on increased BPS for every try. Start off with something slow then something a little faster, when you can't play on the BPM you attained just practice on that till you perfect it and move on.
