Tremolo String Skipping
Hey guys.
Needing help on this one thing I have never really been able to do. STRING SKIPPING. I've been playing for 4 years now and I know so many techniques including 6 string sweeping but have never actually been able to string skip. Essentially I'm needing to know how to do this: -----------------------------------------------------------------| -------------------------------------------17-------------------| --------------------------------14------------17---------------| ----------------------------12----15-14---------15-14------| -----------------------------------------------------------------| -----------------------------------------------------------------| It's a tab from August Burns Red Meddler and each note is played twice at about 180bpm. They are also semi-tone notes. If there is anything you could do to help me such as a video that would be great. And before you post a normal string skipping lesson, I've tried! Been trying for 6 months now. I was always doing downstrokes :/

FOCUS on your picking, you want to hit 2 notes not 1 or 3 or 4. MUTING may help too, be with your fretting index or picking palm.
They main thing is your picking, don't start too slow and don't start too fast. Find an appropriate speed and practice from that ![]() |
